Mont Albert Ballet School has been established for 25 years. During this time we have introduced many students to the world
of dance, which has enriched their lives and given them an appreciation of this beautiful art form.

Janine Mitten has more than 30 years’ experience as a dancer and qualified Cecchetti International dance teacher.
She is passionate about ballet and contemporary dance, and is also a trained artist and painter.

Belinda Reed is also a qualified Cecchetti International dance teacher and also has over 30 years’ experience as a dancer
and dance teacher. Belinda has a passion for teaching junior students and delights in introducing young students to the
wonderful world of dance.

We also have wonderful professional Jazz, Hip Hop and Tap teachers who are able to impart their wealth of experience
to our students and encourage each student to achieve their personal best and develop a strong sense of performance
and stage quality.

Leadership and teamwork are the foundations of dance choreography and students regularly use these skills in their dance experiences. These attributes can easily be integrated into other experiences in everyday life building confidence and strong characters as students grow and develop into adults. Through the medium of dance children learn self-awareness, co-ordination
and creativity. It can also help promote self-confidence and a raised sense of self-esteem.
